The Italian

Our first time visiting, food was amazing and our service was first class. The restaurant was very busy but that didn't seem to impact on out waiting time, food came quickly and beautifully presented. Would highly recommend a visit to anyone. Very good value for money also .my only complaint the cheesecake was sold out ha.. ( showd how nice it must of been !! - good excuse to come back for a second visit!!

Went for dinner with my daughter on a Wednesday night at 5pm. Already quite a few tables seated, which gave a good atmosphere. Very characterful with lots of Italian features in the decor. I had the Antonio Juliano pizza (meatballs and peppers) and she had small carbonara. Both excellent and came out in decent time. For pudding we both had fresh waffles. I should know better as suspect these are just the usual ones from a packet that are heated, that are so common in many restaurants. I don't know why places serve these. That said, the ice cream with them was absolutely delicious - I had salted caramel, and my daughter had stracciatella. Probably only needed one waffle after the large pizza! Great place, lovely friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and want to give it a second go with a different pudding.

Yesterday I visited The Italian in Romiley with my girlfriend to celebrate our two year anniversary. We had looked at a lot of other places but this one stood out. It's a small establishment with a cozy Italian vibe. The waiters were welcoming and oh so friendly. The most important bit would be the food though! We had an appetizer, main and a dessert. I can't express how lovely every thing was. It has to be one of the nicest things I've had in my life. Even at peak hours of 6pm on a saturday the food took around 15 minutes which was great. My only complaint was the noise in the smaller establishment because of the amount of people. But it didn't stop us from hearing each other across the table just fine. Just my own opinion as I prefer it a little quieter ;) Besides that, absolutely no complaints and please if you have the chance go visit this amazing italian restaurant. We definitely will again!

The food was yummy, especially the Maradona pizza. The staff were friendly,and the atmosphere was very warm and cosy . For dessert, the pistachio cheesecake was unique and tasty. Would recommend!

A beautiful catch up with a close group of friends. Very prompt waitress service and all food arrived together and cooked to an excellent standard. Thoroughly recommended and highly recommend a visit to see for yourself. Good spacious restaurant and timing between courses was just right . Well done we will undoubtedly return and recommend to everyone

First time visiting tonight. Wow .... The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The decor is amazing, and the food is top tier. We had garlic mushrooms and spare ribs, honestly the best ever. The lasagne was lovely too. Price was less than i expected too. Will definitely be a regular visitor. Thank you

Gorgeous place, food and drinks are sooo good and the staff are lovely!! When you ask for a lot of Parmesan, they deliver will be back 100 times over.
